Job Description

We are seeking to recruit a Senior Legal Expert, for one of our renowned clients in the legal and finance industry. If you are looking for a new challenge, we at Ceek would love to hear from you!

What is expected of you?

  • Be the technical point of reference to the team and provide legal advice in relation to investigative and enforcement work
  • Collect information, documentation, evidence and review investigation reports, memoranda, and correspondence
  • Investigate licence holders and related enforcement action as well as attend court and tribunal sittings if necessary
  • Prepare reports to the police and coordinate with them
  • Discuss investigative strategy with senior management
  • Identify breaches or wrongdoing, conduct on-site investigation visits, surprise inspections, and analyse findings
  • Prepare memoranda for submission to the decision-making body and follow up on decisions
  • Investigate fraudulent activities or schemes and refer financial crime to the police
  • Other duties and tasks as may be assigned

What are you expected to bring?

  • Solid academic background in law, ideally with a specialisation in a financial service related discipline
  • Previous experience working in a legal environment
  • Excellent communication skills
