What is expected of you?
- Maintain and adhere to the cash restrictions law, as well as proper supervision and compliance
- Retrieve, analyse, transform, and report data
- Draft policies, processes, and procedures
- Liaise, coordinate, and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders as well as competent authorities
- Assist and liaise with the enforcement of both administrative and criminal aspects of the law
- Support the company in ad hoc projects
- Prepare and provide training on cash restrictions matters during seminars and events
- Conduct committee meetings to review aspects of the law
- Collect and maintain comprehensive statistical data required for maintenance, as well as analyse the data collected on a regular basis.
- Plan the operations and goals of the team to meet the section’s priorities, targets, and deliverables
- Coordinate available resources and officers to maximize the section’s efficiency
- Ensure that officers on the team have received adequate training to carry out their duties and reach targets
- Monitor, follow up on, and review the work of officers in the section to identify areas for improvement and to ensure satisfactory quality
- Carry out performance appraisals and one-on-one meetings as needed
- Represent the company at international meetings, workshops, and court sittings
- Evaluate, review, and assess the team’s operations and report on them as needed
- Work on other duties assigned by the Director and Deputy Director
What are you expected to bring?
- A degree in Law, Accountancy, Forensic Accountancy, Audit, or Finance
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial services
- Fluency in both Maltese and English language
- Great understanding of the relevant EU Directives and domestic legislation governing financial and ancillary services
- Able to multi-task and problem-solve
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent analytical and report writing skills
