Job Overview

Our client is a leading boutique advisory and tax firm in Malta. They are expanding their dynamic team of professionals within their Client Accounts team. The Junior Associate Accounts will be responsible for various accounting and financial tasks to support the client accounts team. The role requires proficiency in accounting software, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

  • Posting expenses in the accounting software when necessary
  • Posting wages and salaries in the accounting software
  • Calculating payroll
  • Calculating accruals and prepayments
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts when required
  • Generating VAT reports for submission of client VAT returns
  • Other ad-hoc accounting tasks as assigned by the team

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a University degree in Accountancy or commencing ACCA studies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Proactive and organized with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
