One of our clients is seeking to recruit an experienced and aspiring Core Network Engineer on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities:

Researching, recommending and implementing technical solutions,

Introducing new equipment while maintaining existing equipment,

Report generation and data analysis,

Monitoring and analysing technical reports,

Troubleshooting problems and providing timely corrective action,

Preparing technical procedures and delivering training

Requirements;

A degree in ICT, IT, networking, telecommunications or equivalent

LPIC Linux Certification

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) qualification is strongly preferred,

Good communication skills,

Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies,

Good understanding of web and FTP services including Apache and IIS Skilled in programming especially scripting in Python/Perl.

Extensive knowledge of virtualization technologies (Vmware), monitoring technologies and tools.

Good knowledge of mobile networks,

Security awareness and firewalling knowledge would be considered an asset

Hands-on experience with common software and hardware,

A good command of the English language,

Flexibility to work irregular hours when the need arises

Skills:

Be a good team player and work well with others

Meticulous with a keen eye for detail

Excellent problem-solving skills, improvisational and creative solutions with a can-do attitude
