Job Overview

Keen to work within the Fintech industry?  Do you have experience working in financial services coupled with a relevant degree? If so, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Regulatory Compliance to join a multi-cultural team. What is expected of you?

  • Monitor regulatory and legislative developments
  • Assist the company in responding to regulatory changes
  • Identify compliance risks and assist the business to improve/introduce controls to mitigate risks
  • Assist in the design and implementation of mitigation measures, as well as dealing with correspondence.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting
  • Manage and maintain a strong business compliance culture to achieve increased compliance awareness
  • Work on other ad-hoc duties that may be required

 

What are you expected to bring?

  • A degree in Law/Banking or Banking/Compliance qualification will be considered an asset
  • Excellent proficiency in both Maltese and English language
  • Great knowledge of financial services legislation and regulation
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working in the financial services industry
  • Ability to research and analyse, with attention to detail
  • Must have an objective approach to be able to exercise independent judgment, express opinions and make impartial recommendations
  • Be an assertive individual and capable of gaining the respect of senior management, colleagues and regulators
