What is expected of you?
- Give administrative support to aid the operation of the finance department, including maintaining procedures, filing, and records
- Keep a record of petty cash payments/reconciliations
- Oversee cash accounts in foreign currency, ensuring tallying of monies in till and reconciliations are provided
- Prepare suppliers’ invoices, reconcile suppliers’ statements of account, and prepare a creditors list
- Maintain the creditors ledger for settlement by the Finance Manager
- Responsible for preparing bank deposits, effecting swift transfers, and liaising with the bank on general matters
- Distribute departmental post received
- Provide a breakdown of general overheads to the Finance Manager
- Offer support related to the credit control function
- Maintain and reconcile statements, raising invoices when necessary
- Process disbursements and maintain bunker vessel accounts
- Perform reconciliations of the disbursement account along with invoices necessary for freight and other receivables
- Ad-hoc duties as requested by the Finance Manager
