Job Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeping Clerk to join their team at their offices in Gozo. As a Bookkeeping Clerk, you will be responsible for various bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Post sales and purchase invoices to maintain accurate records.
- Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
- Record customer receipts and follow up on outstanding debtors.
- Prepare cashbook entries and perform periodic cash reconciliations.
- Conduct bank, supplier, and intercompany reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Assist in month-end procedures, including preparing financial reports and assisting with financial statement preparation.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date document filing system.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
- Possession of a Diploma or A’level standard of education in Accounting or related field.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Previous hands-on experience in a similar bookkeeping role.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording financial transactions.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
