Main Responsibilities:
- Assisting the company in meeting AML requirements set by regulatory authorities across various jurisdictions.
- Conducting risk assessments of existing and new players, including creating personal and business profiles.
- Developing statistical models to facilitate the assessment of player activity levels.
- Gathering information on players’ source of wealth and expected source of funds, along with obtaining supporting documentation when necessary.
- Performing ongoing monitoring of players and transactions based on risk levels.
- Identifying suspicious behavior, investigating incidents, and collaborating with stakeholders to take appropriate actions, including reporting suspicious transactions.
- Serving as the point of escalation for AML-related inquiries.
- Assisting and/or handling ad hoc requests from departments such as Responsible Gaming, VIP, Fraud, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of internal AML/CFT compliance manuals, policies, procedures, and systems, and providing proactive suggestions for process improvements.
- Supporting the Compliance department in developing the AML training program and raising awareness among stakeholders.
- Fulfilling other duties and ad hoc requests as required by the business.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of AML/CFT EU and jurisdictional frameworks (PMLFTR procedures, FIAU Implementing Procedures).
- Good understanding of AML best practices.
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in player verification, risk assessment, fraud detection, AML, and KYC/DD processes within the iGaming industry.
- Independent, proactive, detail-oriented, and organized.
- Naturally curious, analytical, and capable of identifying risks based on findings.
- Strong research skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to data security standards.
- Capable of multitasking and taking initiative in all areas of operation.
- Quick learner, adept at adapting to new technology, systems, and applications.
Preferred (Plus):
- Familiarity with AML frameworks in multiple jurisdictions (MGA, Isle of Man, SGA, Australia).
- Knowledge of Open Source Intelligence techniques.
