Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial accounts of our clients and ensuring their compliance with local regulations. The position offers opportunities for both junior and senior candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounting and financial reporting of assigned clients, including the preparation of financial statements, monthly and annual reports, and tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax and accounting regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide advice on financial matters and help them make informed decisions.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts, and monitor financial performance against targets.
  • Assist in the development of accounting policies and procedures, and implement them as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely completion of all financial transactions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience for junior candidates, and 5+ years of experience for senior candidates.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of Maltese is a plus.
