Job Description

Do you have experience working in an auditing company? If so, our client, which forms part of a group of companies having various sectors under it’s wing, is looking for an Accountant. If you are looking for a new challenge and you think you have what it takes, we at Ceek would love to hear from you!

What is expected of you?

  • Review of authorized invoices for purchase and importing into the accounting system
  • Review contracts, create contract synopsis and inform the finance team
  • Maintain the analysis codes for job costings and management accounts
  • Job costings, keeping the accounting schedules up to date and oversee that the data is collected in a timely and correct manner
  • Assist in the billing functionality and maintain billing templates
  • Liaise with debtors for debt collection
  • Review of bank reconciliations, petty cash and control accounts
  • Liaise with banks on any issues that arise
  • Responsible for management accounts, including operative financials
  • Assist in the preparation of financial and cash flow forecasting
  • Compile statutory surveys
  • Prepare for and manage the external financial audit
  • Assist in the development of company policies and procedures
  • Prepare the VAT Returns and ad hoc reports
  • Lead, manage and assist the finance team
  • Handle the monthly payroll calculation and issue payslips to employees
