Job Overview

Are you looking for an analytical role and ready to move into Financial Intelligence? If so our client of ours, a leading financial services organisation is seeking to recruit a Junior Intelligence Analyst who will be working with their Intelligence Analysis section. What is expected of you?

  • Deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Maintain the Information Management System and update computerised and paper based records
  • Provide operational support to Section staff and administrative assistants to ensure that they are able to reach their targets
  • Contribute towards the standard operating procedures
  • Oversee detailed financial analysis in relation to suspicious transaction reports and other financial intelligence received by the company and to draw up an analytical report
  • Handle the reports on an ongoing basis for onward transmission to competent and supervisory authorities
  • Represent the company at local and international meetings as well as the Unit in proceedings, including as witness, before any court, tribunal or other adjudicating body
  • Participate in internal committees as may be required
  • Keep abreast of current and new local and international developments on prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism
  • Work on any other related functions as may be directed

 

What are you expected to bring?

  • A degree Level 6 with 1 year of experience or Diploma level 5 with 3 years’ of  experience
  • Great knowledge in laws that govern prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism in Malta and internationals standards and EU legislation in the area
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Maltese and English language
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Office automation tools
  • Strong knowledge and experience using Excel
  • Able to maintain and extract statistics
